Starting to enjoy Twitter even more

And that is very strange considering the fact that I tried to hook up with a Twitter Borrel in Amsterdam and failed miserably! I was at cafe Dante, a bit late but who cares, and I couldn't find any of the twitter people. This was very strange since I received many updates of how much fun it was over there.

I left in a disillusioned state and decided to visit Mark to check his new piano. Later on I found out (on twitter where else?) that I was standing in the wrong room! It didn't look like there were more rooms when I was there, but apparently the party was going on downstairs...

That evening, I felt a bit screwed for a moment or two. I really thought that there were just 5-10 weird freaky online people were going to show up, so I didn't bother to ask behind the bar. As it turns out, there were 50 Twitterers present! Read about it here.

The day after I saw a link to a Wired article about twitter that included this picture, which I like a lot!, below. Even after missing the drink, I have become an even bigger fan of Twitter.

Looking forward to meet Raimo at next borrel, that will take place in Utrecht if I am not mistaken.

The story is almost funny in a way. Bummer that you didn't hook up with your fellow Twitters. I was supposed to come, but opted for a squash match with a good friend. Next drink, I will be there, hope to see you there.
