This is a phrase that Ze Frank often used when he maintained his highly entertaining and daily video blog "the show". This phrase stresses the point that it takes an insider / loyal viewer to understand what is going on and what everything means. The reason I use this title is because it will probably require some patience of my readers to catch on the central theme in my postings.  I hope it eventually will give you a good Return On Attention (ROA).

To make this possible, bare with me and please help me by giving me your input.
I have an important question for you. Below is a short introduction to give you an idea of the type of reasoning that is appreciated for the answers.

First, please read this great comment from Boris I came across:

EINSTEIN was asked by his hostess at a social gathering to explain his theory of relativity.
Said the great mathematician:
“Madam, I was once walking in the country on a hot day with a blind friend, and said that I would like a drink of milk.”
“Milk?” said my friend, “Drink I know; but what is milk?”
“A white liquid,” I replied.
“Liquid I know; but what is white?”
“The colour of a swan’s feathers.”
“Feathers I know; what is a swan?”
“A bird with a crooked neck.”
“Neck I know; but what is this crooked?”
“Thereupon I lost patience. I seized his arm and straightened it. “That’s straight,” I said; and then I bent it at the elbow. “That’s crooked.”
“Ah!” said the blind man, “Now I know what you mean by milk!”

Now the question that I have for you: "what is an Open Dictator?"

Please help an OpenDictator out.

Thx,

- OD

An OpenDictator is someone who makes people wonder. Someone who opens closed eyes to new ideas and new approaches. Someone who does't say 'No that's not possible', but wonders how it could be possible.

Check out Freakonomics, I bought it last weekend.

      M,

Thank you so much for your feedback. I must say I really like your idea.

Knowing your email address, I have just sent you a challenging request for a new idea and approach. Hopefully you aspire to be an OpenDictator yourself and put your wise words in practice.

I forgot to mention: I bought Freakonomics quite a while ago and naturally did not read it. I gave it to a special lady who I thought could use it as a souuce of inspiration.

After getting into some 'dire straits' she is now on her way back and I really hope she will bloom to her full potential.

An Open Dictator is strongly opinionated, who lives for being of influence and an inspiration to others (in a service oriented way). Being strong-headed but also continuously craving innovation, his/her only rescue is remaining open to new ideas (of others).

Thanks a lot Platy, very helpful!

      Merriam-Webster:

      Main Entry: opin·ion·at·ed
      Pronunciation: -y&-"nA-t&d
      Function: adjective
: unduly adhering to one's own opinion or to preconceived notions

My first association with this word is a bit negative since it seems to imply stubbornness. But then again... why is this a bad thing? As long you have an open thoughprocess...

It is actually the dependence on the ideas of others that balances domination. Servant leadership is the way forward.
